FAQs

Elysian Pools

  • What are your business hours?

Our standard operating hours are from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. However, we are committed to accommodating our clients' needs and are available to assist you outside of these hours if required.
  • Do you provide free estimates?

Yes, we offer complimentary estimates for our services. Typically, you can expect to receive an estimate approximately one week following the initial on-site consultation at your property.
  • Do you have a warranty?

Elysian Pools is confident in the quality of our work and provides our customers with a one-year limited workmanship warranty. Additionally, we honor all manufacturers' warranties for the products and materials we use in our projects.
  • Do you offer free estimates or design consultations?

Yes! We offer complimentary consultations starting with a quick call to discuss your vision, budget, and design ideas. Then we will send over preliminary documents, including our “Standard Pool Designs,” “Spa & Sundeck Ideas,” and “The Elysian Pools Difference,” and ask for a copy of your plot plan or survey. After that, we will schedule a site visit where we will meet at your property and further discuss design ideas, features, finishes, construction methods, and next steps.
  • What are the next steps after the site visit?

Next steps include a complimentary 3D design using the latest pool design software. The complimentary design includes two additional revisions. Additional revisions or highly complex or custom pool designs will require a design retainer. After a design is finalized, a detailed estimate will be sent with a copy of our construction contract and warranty sheet.
  • How long does it take to get a design and estimate?

Depending on the demand for designs and estimates, you can expect a design and estimate approximately one week after the site visit.
  • What is the process and timeline once we decide to sign a contract?

Contracts are sent out for digital signatures, which makes it quick and easy. Then we schedule another site visit to sign permit documents and take a deposit. Deposits can be made via check or ACH. Once all permit paperwork is signed and notarized, a permit packet is sent to our engineers, who will perform the required engineering and stamping of the prints and then submit them to the county for permit application.
  • How long does engineering and permitting take?

Engineering can take up to four weeks, and permitting can take up to an additional eight weeks. So, it can take up to twelve weeks before we receive an approved permit.
  • Do I need HOA approval?

Most projects in our area require HOA approval. The customer must apply to their HOA, and we will assist and provide applicable HOA-required documents. HOA approval usually takes 30 days or more and can be very detailed.
  • Once the permit is issued and the HOA is approved, what are the next steps?

We track the process of the permit and know when we are getting close to approval. As we get closer to approval, we start preparing and place your project into a tentative schedule. After a permit is approved, we will notify you, contact 811 to locate utilities, and schedule your start date.
  • How long does the construction process take?

Once we confirm materials are in stock, we typically start your project one week after permit approval. We like to start projects at the beginning of the week so that we can excavate and shoot the shell within the same week. Our project management process schedules all trades out for five weeks. If everything goes perfectly and the weather cooperates, we can build your pool with the cage in five weeks! That is lightning fast. Our average time to completion is around six weeks. After we fill your pool, there is a 30-day pool startup period where one of our pool techs will maintain your pool, get the pH just right, and take you through pool school.
  • Do you provide pool maintenance services?

We work with a few high-quality, locally owned pool maintenance service companies who start up our pools, and we recommend that the customer continue to use their services after the 30-day startup period is over.
  • Do you just build pools?

We’re glad you asked! What makes Elysian Pools unique is that we consider ourselves a “one-stop shop” pool and poolscaping contractor. Not only do we build your pool, but we can also provide poolscaping services such as outdoor kitchens, fire features, paver sealing, cage and landscape lighting, and landscape services, which include irrigation repair, sod installation, and landscaping.
  • Can you design both the pool and the outdoor kitchen together?

Absolutely. We specialize in integrated outdoor living designs. Your pool, patio, kitchen, lighting, and landscaping all flow together as one cohesive space, and it is much easier to build them all together at the same time. It saves time, money, and additional mess!
  • What types of pools do you build?

We build custom shotcrete (concrete) pools with unlimited design possibilities — from geometric modern styles to tropical lagoon-inspired layouts. Every pool is tailored to your property and lifestyle.
  • Can you remodel or upgrade an existing pool or patio?

Yes! We can refinish your pool, add new features, expand your deck, or build a complete outdoor kitchen to modernize your space.
  • What kind of outdoor kitchen appliances do you install?

We install top-quality, weather-resistant appliances, including built-in grills, griddles, side burners, refrigerators, sinks, vent hoods, drawers, and doors. We primarily offer Bull, but can purchase Blaze and other brands.
  • Do you offer financing?

Yes, we work with three finance companies that can assist in fully or partially financing your project. We have links on the website.
  • What areas do you serve?

We proudly serve homeowners throughout Lakewood Ranch, Sarasota, Bradenton, Parrish, and surrounding communities within about 15 miles.
  • What is your warranty?

We offer a standard 1-year workmanship warranty, and each of our manufacturers offers additional warranties on their products.
  • What is the Elysian Pools difference?

There are many things about our business model that make us different.

    • Boutique pool builder: We are very selective of our customers and choose to build quality over quantity. We only work with customers who appreciate top-notch designs, finishes, quality materials and equipment, and attention to detail. That means we are not racing to the bottom to be the cheapest pool builder.

    • Our standard pool is others’ upgraded pool: We start with a very upgraded pool. That means our base pool will have upgraded features such as:
    1. Paver decking
    2. Stonescape mini interior finish plaster
    3. Cage with 20/20 no-see-um wall screen and stainless steel exterior hardware
    4. Pentair equipment, which includes the best pumps, filters, heaters, automation, and, of course, a salt cell chlorinator. We do NOT cheap out on your equipment!
    5. Perfect circle main drains
    6. Hidden skimmer lid system
    7. Streamline deck drain

    • Proactive vs reactive project management approach: Many “tract pool builders” who build hundreds of pools a year focus on volume vs quality, requiring their project managers to manage up to 15 pools at a time (impossible). There is no way a project manager can effectively manage a project, and their job becomes that of a “firefighter.” That means they are putting out fires and fixing problems (reactive), instead of being proactive by spending more quality time with their subcontractors and crews reviewing plans, providing quality control checks, and addressing issues immediately. Elysian Pools believes in a proactive approach to project management and is willing to do fewer pools if it means spending higher-quality time on-site, with our team, and with our customers.

    • Quality standards: We are just as OCD, or even more, than many of our customers! If something doesn’t look right to us, we take care of it immediately. In fact, we say that if you see something, we most likely see it first and are already taking care of it. We will not build something that we would not first build in our own home.

    • Water jet and watering in: We are one of the very few pool builders who spend one to two days making sure that the backfill of your pool and plumbing lines are adequately watered in and water jetted. Most pool company paver crews will only spend minutes water jetting around the perimeter of the pool shell. This is why you will see pavers settle over time, and it will be an endless repair. While it is impossible to eliminate 100% of settling, we make sure we do our best to stop major settling from occurring over time.

    • Clean work sites: We are also proud to keep our sites clean and tidy, including drives, walks, and streets. That is our OCD kicking in again!

    • Fast project completion: You can have two of three things: 1) Low cost, 2) High quality, 3) Fast service. We proudly offer high-quality and fast service. Finishing a project in an average of six weeks is fast and does not have to compromise quality. We make sure that our projects are properly scheduled, and we communicate daily with our contractors, suppliers, and customers. There is absolutely no reason why a job should sit for months with no activity.

    • Customer satisfaction is #1: At the end of the day, a project is not considered successful unless our customers are 100% satisfied and we receive a 5-star Google review.

    • One-stop shop: We are one of the few pool builders in the area that provide a one-stop shop model, which includes poolscaping services such as outdoor kitchens, fire features, paver sealing, cage and landscape lighting, and landscape services, which include irrigation repair, sod installation, and landscaping.
